I have been in continuous recovery from alcoholism for 28 years, and I am also gently tapering. I fully understand the commitment it takes to keep taking care of your well-being, even when the path ahead is difficult or uncertain.
I bring this understanding, alongside warmth and realism into the way I work. I know it takes quiet courage to keep showing up for yourself with kindness, one day at a time.
These experiences inform my practice on a daily basis. I comprehend the complexity of addiction and mental health and am able to acknowledge the differences. And treat accordingly.
I have been in private practice for the past 7 years and I have worked with people presenting with a vast range of issues. I enjoy diversity, complexity and enjoy being able to offer a comprehensive counselling service.
I live in a small suburb in central west Auckland, with my husband and our Tonkinese cats Harper and Luigi Morris.
